If you're interested in learning to play, consider getting in touch with me. My approach is relaxed. We'll begin by having a conversation about a) what level we're at, b) what styles of music excite us, and c) how much we're willing to devote to practice. Bring a guitar the first day and be prepared to get started.

While my degree is in Acting Performance, I also have 18 years of experience playing rock, blues, folk, and classical guitar. As a kid, I played a roadie in Bye Bye Birdie who played guitar. Of course, I didn't know anything about a guitar, but it felt really cool to be up there holding one, so I decided to teach myself a few chords. That led to acceptance to a summer program at North Carolina School of the Arts studying classical music. There, I cultivated an understanding of proper technique and safe practice habits. And here we are now, a million miles around the nation, a few thousand albums sold with rock band, Holy Ghost Tent Revival, and half a ton of peanut shells on the floor of a broken down Sprinter in Montana.
